Careers Evening

On 9th October 2020, our school organised a Careers Evening for parents and students of Year 6 & 7 and prospective undergraduates.

George Phylactou, Director of Unistudies Services and of Deputy Head Xenion High School congratulated students for their excellent IGCSE and AS results and also pointed out the countries, to which most of Xenion Graduates go to study as well as the countries in which graduates are studying now.

It was pointed out how crucial Year 6 & 7 at school are and how important is to take the right decisions now as well as that procedures, have already started such as personal statements, personal progress meetings, university options and applications.

Mr George Phylactou also explained the “power” of Xenion High School Apolyterion (School leaving certificate) and what students can obtain when they graduate from Xenion.

Mrs Paola Kitazou, Careers Councelor and Unistudies Officer discussed the different study options and compared the cost of studies in different cities and countries. She also pointed out some important facts about studies in other EU countries such as Germany, France, The Netherlands, about the accommodation procedure and other helpful information regarding university life.

Mrs. Sophia Tsantila-Phylactou, Head of Greek Faculty at Xenion High School congratulated students for the Pancyprian Exam Results and explained important information about studies at universities of Greece and Cyprus.

At the end they gave some important tips for student success:
