As part of our learning journey exploring Cyprus and its traditional occupations, our Year 4 Junior School classes enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Folkloric Museum in Derynia.
The children were taken on a guided tour of the museum, where they discovered how Cypriots lived and worked in the past and explored a variety of traditional occupations (blacksmith, carpenter, fisherman, farmer, cobbler, tailor).
They also had the opportunity to visit a traditional Cypriot house, gaining a fascinating insight into everyday life in earlier times.
It was an enriching and memorable learning experience and the children thoroughly enjoyed discovering more about our island’s traditions and culture.
