5 minutes with Anna Dorothea

  1. Tell us a few words about your daily routine at work.

In the morning I go to the atelier, where I work along with my tailors and pattern makers on new collections and designs, and later on I go to the boutique and I meet with clients who have arranged appointments.

  1. How did you decide you wanted to be a fashion designer?

From a very young age I had already started to design my own clothing and have them tailor -made for myself. From the age of 15, I worked as an international model traveling to Shanghai, Milan, Athens and other fashion capitals and I believe that modelling was my entrance to the world of fashion and luxury. That's when I decided I wanted to have my own fashion luxury brand.

  1. How easy was it to find a job after you graduated from university?

Despite the offers I had to stay in Milan and work for several designers, I didn’t want to waste more time and ‘postpone’ my dream of owning my own brand. So, I registered my brand worldwide before my graduation as I knew the steps I wanted to follow. Creating my atelier and boutique in Cyprus and selling internationally was my dream. The decision was pretty easy for me.

  1. How has the current situation with Covid-19 pandemic affected your work/business?

Well, I believe that like all the other businesses, we have all been affected, some more and some less. Our business regarding fashion has been affected too. Some weddings that have been planned for 2020 have been postponed for 2021, and this has affected business in a way as far as the bridal and couture dresses are concerned. However, nothing serious because the fashionistas and our fans, will always be there to support us.

  1. What changes have been made to your safety protocols at work because of Covid-19?

Well, we try to work mostly with appointments and have a maximum number of 10 people inside the boutique each time. Moreover, we place appointments with gaps of 30 minutes in between so we have the time to professionally steam every dress that has been tried on. All our staff wear masks and gloves with antiseptic sprays placed in every corner of the boutique.
